hey, i’m melanie!
I’m the founder of NovaStar Creative, the social media strategist, creator, and manager who keeps everything running. I’m also a HUGE psychology and mindset woo-woo girlie! Nothing makes me happier than analyzing people’s brains, brain dumping creative post ideas, and showing off my creativity on social.
When I started building my business, I came across thousands of social strategies online. A lot of times they were helpful, but many times, they told me what I was doing “wrong” with my content. Every one of them made me wonder if I was using the right strategy, or if my content wasn’t good enough to attract my ideal clients. Ultimately, it left me stressed and creatively drained. What I learned is that the strategy worked best when it matched the content I actually wanted to make.
Social media might not be face-to-face, but your energy still shows. Your ideal buyer can tell when you’re uncomfortable or when your voice doesn’t sound like you. In your business, and in mine, your personality and real connection are part of the service, so it’s important it shows in your content.
Now, I use best practices for hooks and captions while making sure everything still feels right to me and my personality. Instead of perfecting one post, I make 10 from a place of creativity and strategy. I’ve learned that my content is at its best when I’m not overthinking it, and my clients’ content works best when they’re clear on their vision and their voice, and we can bring the psychology and strategy around it.
